Therapy

There is nothing to be “fixed” - we are here to meet you and help you steer your own ship.

We take a holistic approach to understanding each person, not viewing ourselves as our thoughts, symptoms, diagnoses, or behaviors. We aim to understand the depth and complexity of the interaction of nurture and nature, and clearly see the link between mental and physical health / mind-body-spirit.

Our Approach

We believe therapy is heart-centered and relational.
Our team of therapists are psychodynamic at heart with additional training in either IFS, NARM, EMDR, somatic experiencing and/or psychedelic-assisted therapy. These are the modalities that approach our Parts in a sensitive, compassionate, understanding way, allowing for deeper healing and consequently symptom relief. We understand that Life is our best teacher and that a daily practice will be required to resist the discomfort of change.

In our quest to ‘feel better right now'‘, we will seek almost anything - far too often, we find avenues that allow only for temporary symptom relief. If we don’t connect more deeply with ourselves, we will continue to repeat the cycles of unresolved pain and naturally pass it on to the next generations.

Our therapy team

  • THERAPY PROVIDER

I found myself drawn to Wibeto Practice at a time when I wanted to collaborate with other practitioners in a space that values integrity, equality, and serving the whole person - not just viewing people as a diagnosis.

When I work with clients, I use different therapeutic frameworks and a strengths-based approach to identify windows of opportunity to integrate one's inner healing intelligence with new therapeutic knowledge and skills in order to create new possibilities and pathways.

My early interest in holistic healing coupled with a trust in my intuition, led me to become a Reiki Practitioner while I was still in college and massage therapy shortly after. I have been drawn to other mind-body connection modalities like EMDR and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) which I incorporate in the appropriate setting.

Even after twenty years of practice, I am still amazed by the human capacity for self-healing. You are the expert on your life and the one who undertakes the healing journey. My goal is to help you find concrete ways to achieve wholeness. With the right care, attention, and tools, we naturally move towards holistic health.

I work with individuals, couples, ethically non-monogamous relationships, families, and at times will incorporate performance coaching + divorce mediation coaching.

FAQs

Do I need to be in therapy?

Gaining insight and awareness into how our childhood experience and wounding has shaped our perspective is foundational. By choosing to look deeper into our past, we set the stage to understand more about our Parts and what we have internalized, to work with our Inner Child and keep us in alignment with our true purpose, to feel and process our emotions instead of using external means to regulate discomfort and stress that we have little awareness into, and to help foster meaningful connections by knowing what does and does not serve us.

Insight alone isn’t enough . we will need to ensure we lay a proper foundation (sleep, movement, nutrition, hydration), consciously practice emotional regulation and self-compassion, and learn to set boundaries while cultivating meaningful relationships.

How does therapy integrate into ketamine treatments?

Integration isn’t just encouraged, it is essential. Psychedelic experiences hold great potential for deep healing and it is a matter of set (mindset) and setting that determines what the journey will be. Integration starts with preparation and continues on in therapy as we surrender to each of the ketamine treatments and all that it has to offer.

How do I find the ‘right’ fit for a therapist?

We encourage to read different clinician profiles, gain a better understanding of the lens from which they practice, and eventually committing to regular sessions to see if you feel safe to share and explore in the dynamic. Everyone here at wibeto practice (and our trusted affiliates) is on their own healing journey, leading from a heart-centered relational approach, and is in the field because they want to be of service to others.

Once I start therapy, can I stop it?

We believe healing occurs relationally. Life is our best teacher for this - along the way meeting healthy safe people will hopefully serve to correct experiences that haven’t gone our way. We hope to be another space that is safe and boundaried, and that will be here for you as long as you need it. With that said, we understand life is not meant to be one big excavation so we trust people will know when they need their own break.

Can you help me better understand the different therapeutic approaches that you offer?

While each therapy modality out there has its place, at wibeto practice, we are focused on ones that approach our Parts in a sensitive, compassionate, understanding way, allowing for deeper healing and consequently symptom relief - these are Internal Family Systems (IFS), NARM, EMDR, somatic experiencing and psychedelic-assisted therapy.

Can I come in-person for appointments?

It’s been even easier the last few years of the pandemic to cocoon in our homes and feed the avoidance of the world and its accompanying stressors. We would love to have you in our healing space!

Here at wibeto practice, we will see the full you.
